DID THE CIVIL WAR CHANGE ANYTHING IN THE U.S.?
Whilst 'America' was trying to recreate itself after the Civil War, a young man called John Lomax, who was in Texas, started to get interested in folk songs sung by cowboys, former slaves and prisoners (who were mainly black).
